Raising Funds for Prevention
Founded in 1988, DIFFA KC brings together volunteers from the local design community representing the fields of interior design, graphic communications, architecture, fashion and more to raise funds to support the prevention of HIV/AIDS in our community. DIFFA is grateful for the generous support of these volunteers and for the participation of individuals from a wide range of businesses and professions across the metro area.
Awarding Grants In Kansas City
Since 1991, DIFFA KC has been the largest single contributor each year to the Heart of America Community AIDS Partnership, combining its resources with other local funders to achieve maximum impact in the fight against AIDS.
DIFFA KC’s commitment has helped the Partnership distribute grants nearing $5 million to AIDS causes in Kansas City. Working directly with the Heart of America Community AIDS Partnership, DIFFA KC identifies area programs that fulfill the organization’s mission of education and prevention – the only means we have now to eliminate this disease. Based on the program’s specific plans and needs, the Partnership awards grant money where it will be most effective in helping people in Kansas City at the greatest risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.
